How much of what people say about intelligence and IQ is actually true?

For our next EA Hamburg meetup, we’ll dive into the findings from Clearer Thinking’s large-scale empirical study, “What’s really true about intelligence and IQ? We empirically tested 40 claims.” The article tests common beliefs about intelligence — from whether IQ predicts life success to how much environment and genetics shape it — using real data and evidence.

The session will be an interactive talk, blending presentation, discussion, and audience participation. We’ll explore what the data really says, why these questions matter for effective altruism and policy, and where our intuitions might mislead us.

Newcomers and regulars are equally welcome — no prior background required.
We look forward to seeing you there!
