Dear EA Munich community,
Over the past few days, I’ve been pushing hard and worked intensely to finalise my introductory presentation on Genetic Welfare and Genetic Moral Enhancement as Part of Public Health Infrastructure—driven by deep enthusiasm and a strong desire to integrate the latest research and institutional insights of human genome editing and respective bioethics.
That said, I’ve come to recognise that despite my best efforts, this topic demands more time to do its importance justice. Compassionate genetics and enhancement being highly sensitive and controversial topics with profound potential for both risks and impact I acknowledge that care, thoughtfulness, and rigour must take priority over timeliness.
I’m still deeply committed to sharing what I believe will be a highly illuminating contribution to the ongoing conversation around EA cause prioritisation. Thank you for your patience—and stay tuned!
Warmly,
Ruth
