I thought people might be interested to hear about this new organization, which seems to have a similar mission to GiveDirectly: giving unconditional cash transfers to people in poverty. (They're launching in Nigeria, where I believe GD doesn't work).

Moyo is a project of Kwanda. I signed up with Kwanda in 2020 because I was intrigued by their interesting structure: basically, donors donated money every month (it could be a v small amount) and were part of an online community that voted about where the donations went. In the end, I was never active in the online community, but I thought it was an interesting idea (kind of like a funding circle but for small donors?) It looks like now they've re-launched as an umbrella organization for various charitable endeavours.
