I really enjoyed this piece. The emphasis on investing in local founders and grantmakers particularly resonated with me.

One thing I've observed through movement-building work in Africa is that ecosystem development often requires patience. Building strong organizations, leadership pipelines, and local grantmaking capacity can take years, and many of the benefits are difficult to measure in the short term. Yet these investments may ultimately determine the long-term health and resilience of entire ecosystems.

I hope we'll continue to see more experimentation and learning in this area.

Great job! I am very proud of your efforts. Keep shining.

It's great to witness the progress and cage-free work momentum in Africa. Kudos to you and the amazing organizations pushing the much needed progress in Africa.
