My name is Mark Reichert. I retired 10 years ago from a career in environment science and have been pursuing my interest in philosophy and human behavior, belief, and morality. I came to this site while pursuing my interest in AI and its crossover with human behavior.
I have lots of ideas bouncing around in my head that I think are original and useful to share with others, and I have been trying to write a book as a way to share those ideas. But I often get lost in my own thoughts and have difficulty writing things down in a way that makes sense to other people. And, quite frankly, I often wonder if I have "good ideas" or if my way of thinking is more akin to ravings of a lunatic. Feedback on my book so far has mostly been non-supportive, and I wonder if this is because my writing is terrible or readers just don't get what I am trying to say and I need a more interested and/or open-minded audience.
I am interested in discussing any concerns people may have about morality, human behavior, and potential AI behavior.
