TLDR: We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the EAGxPrague!
We’d love to welcome you back to meet in-person in Europe - to reconnect with friends, meet new people, explore impactful opportunities, and engage with the latest thinking in effective altruism.
Who is this for?
EAGxPrague is ideal for anyone trying to apply EA principles in their projects, careers, volunteering, or donations.
Unlike global EAG conferences, this event welcomes participants with varying levels of experience—even those newer to effective altruism.
Our primary audience is community members and supporters from Central and Eastern Europe, but we welcome seasoned EA participants from across Europe and neighbouring regions who would like to share their knowledge with newcomers.
What to expect?
👥 Great Conversations
Past attendees have reported that one-on-one meetings were the most valuable part of the event. To enhance networking, we use a conference app where you can discover other participants and find people who can answer your most pressing questions.
Check out How to Get the Maximum Value Out of Effective Altruism Conferences, and take some time to reflect on your mission in advance.
💼 Opportunities You Won’t Find Elsewhere
While some ways to make an impact are well-known, many impactful careers and projects arise unexpectedly.
At Friday’s Opportunity Fair, you’ll have a chance to connect with multiple organizations and projects in one place—perhaps discovering a cause or collaboration that aligns with your interests.
🧑🔬 Experts Addressing Key Questions and Impactful Tools
We’ve invited speakers from around the world to lead talks, workshops, discussions, and meetups. (See below for a list of topics).
Follow your curiosity—join office hours with our speakers or schedule a meeting to explore key topics in depth. Our workshops are designed to equip you with critical thinking tools and practical skills to advance your projects.
📜 Better Resources for Your Next Steps
If you’re passionate about a project, it’s likely that someone has worked on something similar before.
We strive to create a collaborative environment with multiple channels for sharing the latest reports, papers, and expert insights. If you don’t find the right person for a 1:1 meeting, we’ll help connect you with relevant resources.
💆♀️ Balanced environment
We recognize that EA conferences can be intense, so we’re committed to promoting ambition, curiosity, and exploration, while also prioritizing balance.
To support well-being, we’re offering guided tours of Prague, a nap room, a tea room, and other relaxing activities.
Arrive early to explore Prague and connect with the Czech EA community—exciting satellite events are being planned!
