Hello everyone,
My name is Dr. Nnaemeka Emmanuel Nnadi, and I serve as the Director of Research & Development at Plateau State University, Bokkos (Nigeria).
We are launching a faculty development webinar series aimed at strengthening the ability of our academic staff to design and carry out research that creates real-world good. A recurring challenge is that much of our work stops at publication rather than translating into policies, products, or practices that improve lives. We want to change that.
We are therefore inviting willing volunteer speakers to deliver a one-hour virtual talk (including Q&A). We are flexible and open, but especially interested in talks around these themes:
- From Research to Doing Good – how academics can ensure their work goes beyond papers to improve lives.
- Choosing Problems that Matter – how faculty can identify and focus on research questions that truly serve society.
- Building Research for Change – practical ways to design projects, partnerships, and pathways that move findings into real-world use.
Our audience will be lecturers, researchers, and administrators eager to make their academic work more impactful and socially relevant.
If you would like to contribute (or know someone who might), please write to us at ddresearch@plasu.edu.ng.
Your contribution could help spark a cultural shift at our university — moving from outputs to outcomes, and from publications to research that does good.
