Alternative Protein Computational Science Career Advice

I am an early career (1 year) software engineer who got interested in effective altruism recently and specifically animal welfare. Through conversations with 80,000 Hours AI career advising I found that alternative meats seem to be a promising avenue for me, especially because I majored in computational chemistry and did computational research for multiple professors during undergrad (using graph neural networks to do RNA structure prediction, running large-scale molecular dynamics simulations, building scientific tooling, performing electronic structure calculations). I was wondering if people have advice for getting further into the field and what kinds of computational chemistry work is specifically being done in the alternative protein area.
