The Effective Altruism Foundation (EAF) was a family of non-profit organizations implementing projects aimed at doing the most good in terms of reducing suffering. While EAF is no longer active as of 2025, the Center on Long-Term Risk carries forward a similar mission. Its projects have included the Center on Long-Term Risk and Raising for Effective Giving.

Funding

On July 2022, EAF received nearly $2.3 million in grants from Open Philanthropy,^[1] and $30,000 from Effective Altruism Funds.^[2]
