I’m pleased to announce the launch of the AIxBio Research Hub.
The aim of the AIxBio Research Hub is to collect together research from across the AIxBio space into one place, allowing researchers, policy makers and organisations to more easily find and stay up to date with the latest research coming out.
The Research Hub’s current focus is research on the biosecurity risks presented by advances in AI capabilities and research on the potential uses of AI to reduce biosecurity risks. The hope is that the Research Hub contributes to growing this emerging, and increasingly important, field of research.
This is an early version of the website and research will be steadily added to it to bring it up to date. Additionally, the intention is for the website to be improved, with more features added to it over time, such as:
- Greater options to filter research,
- A monthly email update of recently released research,
- Newsletters people can subscribe to to stay up to date on things happening the field,
- A directory of organisations and researchers working in the space.
If you know of any research that should be added, feel free to suggest it through the website (or if you have quite a few, feel free to send them to me directly.) I’m also more than happy to receive via a DM any constructive feedback on how the website could be improved.
Really glad to see this initiative, thanks for putting it together and sharing it here. It’s great to have more efforts focused on making new research and policy ideas in this space more accessible.
My colleague @Shrestha R and I have also been working on a related resource: List of AI x Biosecurity Resources. Since our goals are very similar, I’d much rather see efforts combined than duplicated. If it makes sense, I’d be glad to explore ways our work could feed into yours: whether that’s sharing what we’ve collected so far or pointing people towards your site going forward.
Looking forward to seeing how this develops, and happy to connect if it’s useful.
Great minds think alike! That's a great list of resources you've made. We should definitely look at ways to combine our efforts. I'll send you and Shrestha an email now.
