Hello. One of the most impactful career paths is working on preventing X-risks from catastrophic AGI via development of policies that ensure advanced AI is safe. However many impactful positions require US citizenship. I come from Latin America and I would be interested in knowing how can we help in AI safety. Would we need to migrate to the US to make a big impact? I would be grateful if non-US citizens working on AI policy could share their story.
