Anima International is running its first-ever Fellowship this September. It will be a 3-week intensive program for people seriously considering a career in animal advocacy. The program is designed around three core developmental areas:

  • Scout Mindset
  • Agency
  • Movement Knowledge and Context

Fellows will work on real organizational challenges alongside our advocates, hone (or gain) forecasting and campaigning skills, practice reasoning under uncertainty and evidence-based decision-making.

The program includes participation in the CARE Conference (September 17–20), where the Fellows can meet and network with experienced advocates from across Europe and beyond.

Program details:

  • Dates: September 1–20, 2026 (concluding with the CARE Conference, September 17–20)
  • Location: Warsaw, Poland (in-person)
  • Language: English
  • Cohort size: 10–12 fellows
  • Compensation: All expenses covered (flights, accommodation, meals, conference attendance) + stipend (€1,500–€3,500)
  • Nationality: No restrictions. Applicants from all over the world are welcome to apply.
  • Visa support: We can provide you with a visa invitation and cover fees if needed. Please flag visa requirements early in the application process so we can begin supporting you promptly.

This is a pilot program, so it's somewhat experimental. Things may be imperfect. We'll be transparent about what's working and what isn't. We expect fellows to be equally honest with us, and have input into how things are shaped. If you're the kind of person who finds that exciting rather than unsettling, you're probably a good fit.

Applications close May 17. There's also a live Q&A on May 7 at 6PM CEST if you want to ask questions before applying.
