Hi, I'm new to the EA community and trying to figure how to make an impact quickly without too much career risk.
I currently work as an analyst at a top 10 US bank ($1t+ in assets, with over 50,000 employees.)
So, I think one way I could make an impact would be to have a way for employees to have charitable contributions directly withdrawn from their paycheck. I'm not sure how this usually works, but given the size of my employer, I think the impact could be huge in terms of lives saved/improved.
Has anyone successfully encouraged their employer to implement such a program?
I haven't seen this particular pathway proposed before, but you might find How we promoted EA at a large tech company relevant.
