Very interesting tool, though clearly focusses heavily on maximising tax efficiency vs. maximising impact. My concern would be that by emphasising marginal tax savings and bunching strategies, it risks encouraging donors to view giving primarily through a personal-financial optimisation lens rather than an effectiveness lens.
There’s a chance this unintentionally shifts attention away from the core EA question of "where does each additional dollar help the most?"
Would it be possible to allow users to attach a per-dollar impact estimate from sources like GiveWell cost-effectiveness analyses, Happier Lives Institute WELLBY estimates, ACE evaluations, or other public CEA models? This could also allow users to simulate marginal expected impact per net dollar spent, in additional to marginal tax savings (as a modular addition to the existing structure).
