Popularity & reputation don't equal impact. We have to be careful about subscribing to “ Eliteism” as elitism is why we’re having a lot of the problems that we are trying to fix in the world. We are ALL worthy. As seen across industries, reputation often tracks bias more than true value. Let's make sure EA measures substance over social standing.
I also enjoyed the EA Summit. It was my first time. A meta-thought: let's replace "Why are you here?" qualification chats to first timers of the summit, with open dialogue, and prioritize measurable impact over social standing or perceived reputation or resume qualifiers
