Absolutely, Anita! A holistic, systems-based approach grounded in a philosophy of duty and animal rights gives us a stronger foundation for meaningful, long-term change. Plant-based diet change and institutional food system transformation must go hand in hand if we are to address the interconnected polycrisis facing animals, climate, biodiversity, and much more. A full movement-wide pivot is both necessary and achievable.
PS: I went vegan and joined the animal advocacy movement after attending the vigil. It transformed my life and my perspective towards animals.
