Great article, and deserves and hopefully soon more reactions!
As a vegan, an environmental idealist, and someone committed to driving change, I look toward the future with great anticipation.
Beyond the question of whether the entire process is truly free from animal cruelty, my primary concern is health: are there any long-term health risks? I mean especially because of maybe the use of strange cells etc. & After all, if a product is comparable to meat, it isn’t exactly healthy 😅
Perhaps it could be healthier, for instance, by excluding substances like antibiotics or by an idea that comes to my mind: incorporating healthier fats, such as those found in fish, while still delivering the taste of meat, would that be possible?! I guess so.
For me, concerns regarding health far outweigh any concerns about taste. It must be absolutely clear that there are no health risks involved, or at the very least, fewer risks than those associated with meat, and at least on par with the plant-based meat alternatives we are already familiar with.
