‘Now Is the Time of Monsters’

An Ezra Klein take on 4 key macro dynamics:  Trumpism 2.0 (vastly different than first go around - already seeing many of the country's most important media/business powerbases bend the knee); AI (accelerating capabilities/timelines); climate change (even beyond model projections); and declining birthrates (likely to add to resource scarcity and conflict). Useful (but that could be just b/c aligns with my views!); I would add others, including other potential drivers of international conflict and, most important, the displacement of epistemic institutions that will be needed to mitigate risk/harm from any of the above.
