In this webinar, Professor Vivi Tevuzula Maketa from the Department of Tropical Medicine at the University of Kinshasa (DRC) will examine access barriers and facilitators to malaria control interventions across Africa focusing on the continent’s most vulnerable groups.

Dr. Nnenna Ogbulafor, the National Coordinator of Nigeria’s National Malaria Elimination Programme, will chair the session and bridge academic and programmatic perspectives on the subject.

The ALAMIME program aims to enhance the analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills of individuals working in malaria programs at national and sub-national levels. It focuses on implementing evidence-based policies to support the transition from malaria control to elimination in: Nigeria, DRC, Tanzania, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Niger, Benin, Burkina Faso and Togo. The program also seeks to create forums within Ministries of Health to unite stakeholders and ALAMIME alumni in advancing malaria eradication efforts in the countries where it operates.
