At Giv Effektivt, where I work as managing director, we are currently exploring whether to expand into additional cause areas. Until now, we have focused “only” on global health and poverty.
As part of this process, it has become increasingly clear to me how neglected animal welfare is as a philanthropic cause and how likely it is that additional funding could reduce more suffering at a lower cost than many interventions within global health or poverty. The evidence for this is actually stronger than we expected when we began this investigation.
