Decision making is a personal favorite cause area of mine and I'd like to see a lot more discussion around it than there is right now, especially because it seems to hold immense potential.

I agree that most criticism of EA as a movement/philosophy are often baseless, but recently I've begun to lose faith in the community as an EA myself. What are your thoughts on criticisms of EAs rather than EA?

This is a great idea Kaleem and addressing a gap that I've been looking at solutions for!
Beyond the issue of figuring out the market cap, what are your next steps? I'd be interested in seeing Zakat be redirected to effective charities while meeting the requirements for recipients.
I'd love to see this happen! What sort of help would you be looking for?

This sounds very interesting and closely aligns with my personal long-term career goals. Would the seminar content will be made available online for those looking to complete the course remotely or is this purely in-person?

Thanks!

I'm very interested in joining, thank you for making the group!

The link no longer seems to be active though

Yes, that is what I meant to say. The paper I've cited is in the references at the end if you're interested in looking into it.

Thank you for taking the time out to comment :)

I have no background in economics, so these insights are extremely valuable to me. Thank you for taking the time out to comment :)

My intention was to evaluate climate change as an x-risk, but I see what you mean about it being much more than that. I think the essay will benefit from additional comments on instead treating it as a current issue.
