• In partnership with Good Ventures, we're increasing our 2026 allocation to GiveWell's recommendations from $175M to $1 billion, nearly doubling what we've committed to GiveWell's recommendations over the past decade. 

Hiring:

Evidence Action updates:

• For World Breastfeeding Week, we shared this piece about Kangaroo Mother Care, which can reduce neonatal mortality by roughly a third among preterm and low birth weight infants. We're currently scoping for this intervention in Liberia.
• We shared this piece about what it takes to make water safe in Andhra Pradesh, India, and how "Chlorine Bhavani" earned her nickname.

Wild Animal Initiative has selected 13 new research projects to receive a total of $727,658 in grants, adding to the body of ongoing and completed scientific research we have funded.

Our Grants Program funds academic research on high-priority questions in wild animal welfare science. This year, after receiving 400 expressions of interest, we selected grantees based on how well their projects meet our selection criteria and address priority topics in the field of wild animal welfare science.
