Lead Research for Action (LeRA) is hiring. These are foundational roles that will shape LeRA's trajectory as we move from a team of two – our cofounders, Isabel Arjmand and Tammy Tan – to a growing organisation. We expect to hire one person to focus on research, which is our core product, and another to focus on operations, building LeRA's organisational strength.
About LeRA:
LeRA works to identify and eliminate major sources of childhood lead exposure in low- and middle-income countries. We were incubated by Ambitious Impact’s Charity Entrepreneurship program in 2024.
Lead poisoning affects one in three children globally. Yet in most countries, the primary sources of exposure remain unknown. LeRA generates decision-relevant evidence to enable elimination of the most important, tractable sources.
About the roles:
Alignment with LeRA's core values, especially impact and cost-effectiveness, is critical for these positions, so we expect this community to be a very strong source of applications. Because these are very early hires, there is flexibility in the scope of the roles for exceptional candidates. We encourage you to apply even if the role isn't a perfect fit as described, as long as the core mandate resonates with you.

We are looking for a high-agency generalist who is motivated by cost-effective impact, has strong judgment, works with intensity and attention to detail, and is excited to design processes that allow a small team to do outsized work.
