Hi everyone,
A few weeks ago, we in ENAIS & AIS Hungary had introduced Deep Dive, our new 201 AI policy course designed to bridge the gap between introductory programs and the deep, strategic thinking needed for impactful work in the field.
The response from the community was incredible. We received over 80 expressions of interest from prospective participants and more than a dozen applications from people eager to facilitate a cohort. Thank you all for your enthusiasm - it confirms our belief that there is a real need for this kind of intermediate curriculum.
Today, we're excited to announce that applications for the first official cohorts of Deep Dive are now open!
A Quick Refresher: What is Deep Dive?
For those who missed our first post, Deep Dive is an 9-week course (plus a capstone project writing period and 3 optional sessions) for learners who have completed a 101-level program and are asking, "What's next?". It’s designed to move beyond the basics and equip you with the strategic perspective needed to navigate the complexities of international regulations, emerging frameworks, and the geopolitical implications of AI.
Our curriculum focuses on:
Global Scope: Moving beyond a single-country perspective to compare global approaches.
Strategic Governance: Analyzing historical lessons and emerging frameworks for governing powerful technologies.
Complex Challenges: Tackling thorny issues like technical alignment, information warfare, national security, and institutional destabilization.
Action-Oriented Learning: Culminating in a capstone project where you can develop a novel and insightful policy-relevant paper or project with our support.
Who Should Apply?
This course is for you if:
- You have completed an introductory AI Safety Governance program.
- You feel you have a solid grasp of the basics but are looking for the next step.
- You want to develop a deeper, more nuanced understanding of the global AI policy landscape.
- You are motivated to contribute to the field and are ready for a rigorous, discussion-based learning environment.
