Could you give some more info how new to forecasting you should be in order to qualify? E.g. I could imagine somebody who forecasted on a few dozen questions might feel like they might not qualify anymore, whereas from your perspective that is very little experience.

Does anyone know of good resources for getting better at forecasting, rather than just practicing randomly? I'm really looking forward to this course getting released, but it's still in the works.
Metaculus has tutorials, and Alex Lawsen made a series of videos . You can check out the Metaculus and Manifold wikis as well. (Manifold also has a tutorial but I think it's less helpful).

The tournament runs for the first quarter of 2023. Each week, we'll have two new questions on relevant topics that week. And the two questions from the previous week will resolve, so you can see how you did on them! At the end of the quarter, you'll be a veteran forecaster with a real forecasting track record.
