Update: I think I heard from the NYT (a while back) that there’s a 1/20 chance something similar happens to what happened in 2023 on any given year, but I haven't tried to find the link. (this is not new information.)

Has anyone done any research on the wildfires in Canada from summer 2023 or know any research done about it? I'm asking because I'm investigating what can be done to prevent it from happening again in the best way possible, if anything needs to be done, and how to do it.

Not that I know off , but this was a study published by Animal Ethics about Wildlfires in Madrid in case this could be helpful - https://www.animal-ethics.org/animal-ethics-is-funding-a-study-of-the-effects-of-fires-on-animals-in-the-wild/
