1. Does the EA Forum support <details> / <summary> blocks, for hidden content? If so, I think that should heavily be used in these summaries. 2. If (1) is done, then I'd like sections like: - related materials - key potential counter-claims - basic evaluations, using some table.
Then, it would be neat if the full prompt for this was online, and maybe if there could be discussion about it.
Of course, even better would be systems where these summaries could be individualized or something, but that would be more expensive.
I am trying to comment on Vasco's critical post about Veganuary but it has been deleted as spam twice. I am from Veganuary and we surely have a right to reply to this post. I do not have the icon you said I can use to message you.
Thanks for flagging this. This usually happens when functional cookies are disabled. You can reenable them by heading to our cookie settings page and clicking the link in the second paragraph. That should open a small window where you can turn them back on. Let us know if that doesn’t solve it!
I'm subscribed to the "Organizations update" tab, so I get notifications when a new post in that category appears, but I can't unsubscribe. This has been a mild annoyance for a few years. Clicking subscribe and unsubscribe on the page doesn't do anything. Could someone fix it?
Can this be updated. This is the default "Contact us" page (if I click the sidebar on the right and click "contact us" it brings me here). But this page seems very out of date. Could be worth updating it.
There is no intercom bubble on the right nor is there a "hide intercom" button on the edit profile page. There is a hide intercom button on the account settings page but it does not do anything. There are also a bunch of comments saying similar stuff below but they have not been replied too.

I've updated it. One oversight of the page was that it didn't mention that intercom was desktop-only. If you're one desktop and you don't see it, can you try the new debugging steps? But also feel free to email us.
Hi, can you please tell people to stop posting inane, distracting and visually disturbing gifs in the comments? Like in a comment on Gideon‘s article on complexity and x-risks. Thanks.
For one, I don’t see any intercom. (I’m on an iPhone).
For two, I wanted to report a bug that whenever writing a comment, the UI zooms in so that the comment box takes up the whole width. Then it never un-zooms.
Another bug, while writing a comment while zoomed in and scrolling left to right, the scroll bar appears in the middle of the text.
A third bug, when I get a notification that somebody has responded to my post, and view it using the drop down at the upper right, then try to re-use that menu, the X button is hidden, off the screen to the right. Seems like a similar mobile over-zoom thing.
If you have questions about using the Forum, or want to report a bug:
[Desktop-only] Contact us via Intercom
This is the blue speech bubble in the lower-right corner of your screen.
Under [Desktop-only] Contact us via Intercom, the second bullet point should be "To un-hide it, go to your user profile, click "Account Settings", click "Site customizations" and then uncheck "Hide Intercom."

* To determine whether AI is ‘improving exponentially’, ‘hitting the wall’, or any other claim which involves a quantity or magnitude (e.g. ‘This model was a big leap/small increment’). We need a good y-axis: an interval scale of AI capability which means +1 unit always represents the same degree of ‘how much better’, in the same way +1 degree Celsius is always the same amount of ‘how much hotter’.
* Yet there is no good y-axis for AI capability. All our...
